Rasheda Ali was born in 1970 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, to the prominent professional boxer, Muhammad Ali, and his second wife, Belinda Boyd, also known as Khalilah Camacho Ali. Both of her parents had been married before.
Rasheda has eight siblings and half-siblings, including twin sister Jamillah, Khaliah, Miya, Muhammad Ali Jr, Laila, Hana, Maryum and Asaad. The best advice he received from his father is to stay humble. Because he loved everyone equally, regardless of race and religion, he wanted his children to have the same quality.
In the early 1990s, Rasheda Ali studied at the University of Illinois and graduated with a bachelor's degree in mass communications.
Speaking of her love life, she is married to Bob Walsh, who is a restaurateur and co-owner of a Chicago-based restaurant called Biaggio's Italian Restaurant. The two have been married since 1997 and have two sons, Nico and Biaggio.

Rasheda has been a member of the advisory board of Brainstorm Cell Therapeutics Inc. since 2007. In addition, she is a patron of the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center. As a speaker on Parkinson's disease, she frequently travels around the world to raise awareness of the condition. Her recent speaking engagements include the annual Parkinson's and Movement Disorder Gala fundraiser, the National Parkinson Foundation's Moving Day events and the Bringing Hope To Life Gala fundraiser.

As a television personality, Rasheda has served as a production assistant for "Star Search Productions" and has appeared on VH1's "Love and Hip Hop: New York."
She also wrote, hosted and produced "In My Corner with Rasheda Ali," a talk show filmed in Las Vegas. She is a member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists as well as the Screen Actors Guild. She has also served as the Celebrity Emcee for the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, the Women in Business Awards and The Ms. Arizona Pageant.
